JOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Worker is responsible for performing heavy-duty maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. The Project Worker will use heavy machinery in order to successfully strip and wax floors. The incumbent reports to a Supervisor or an Assistant Site Manager.
Location: Cold Lake, Alberta
Shift Type: Full Time
Shift Days: Monday - Friday
Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm or 9:30am - 3:00pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and care for building and facilities ensuring they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner;
- Must be able to utilize heavy machinery to diligently wax and strip floors;
- Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of chemical usage;
- Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of all stand an the public;
- Secure storage areas;
- Ensure cleaning materials/supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner;
- Report or perform equipment repairs and report stock shortages;
- Report damage and acts of vandalism;
- Perform other duties as required per business needs.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to lift, push and pull required load (up to 50lbs)
- Ability to use auto scrubbers, burnishers, carpet cleaning equipment, & tucker pole
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Ability to read & understand labels & instructions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
- Clear Drivers abstract
